Welcome!
Mainstage, Inc. is a corporation established by Steve Coccia
and Cliff Seltzer. In 2003, they decided to combine their
energies and talents to bring great music to larger audiences.
Steve is president of the Friends of Music, a non -profit
organization. Since 1995, he has produced The Mansion Concert
Series. For five years. Cliff Seltzer, was president/producer
of The Mainstage Coffee House, also a non-profit group. The
two major venues that have been selected are the The Paramount
Center for the Arts, in Peekskill, NY and Irvington Town Hall,
Irvington, NY.
The
Paramount is a 1000 seat theater. A beautiful room with incredible
sound, the theater is easily accessible, from major highways
and Metro-North. The Paramount first opened its doors to the
public on June 27, 1930. Designed to simulate the grand
opera houses of Europe, the Paramount was originally designed
as a movie theatre. The venue began a new life as a home for
the arts in 1981, when the nonprofit Paramount Center for
the Arts, Inc. was founded to preserve the historic theatre
for cultural uses. www.paramountcenter.org.
Irvington
Town Hall Theater was built in 1902 in the Classic Revival
Style. Designed and patterned after the Ford Theater in Washington,
DC, the Theater is a multipurpose concert hall/music theater
located on the entire third floor of Town Hall in downtown
Irvington, New York. The 430-seat theater features an orchestra,
mezzanine, balcony and six charming gold leafed boxes. It
is a jewel of a theater, with great sound, and the intimacy
of a living room. Irvington Town Hall is also easily accessible
from the NYS Thruway and Metro-North. www.irvingtontheater.com.
We
invite you to join us for the upcoming concert season. Please
let us know how we can make your experience more enjoyable.
We welcome your comments about the theaters and suggestions
for future musical artists.
This project was made possible by the Arts Alive program of the Westchester Arts Council,
with funding from the Decentralizatioin Program of the New York Council on the Arts.
